MonoMate Requires: Mono-Framework, OSX 10.5 Example Projects: Download

Creating applications dedicated to the OSX Operating System has been very complicated using C#.

C# is my favorite programming language so I thought starting an developement tool would be a good idea.

MonoMate is really a solution for Cocoa programming in C#. To learn more about all the benefits and how easy it is to create a "Hello World"-Application, have a look at the video.

At the current state MonoMate is the best solution for the kind of developement, it is meant for. Using any alternative (I used Eclipse with Improved-Plugin before), you will need weeks to implement the basics. Still its not an IDE comparable with other C#-IDEs for Windows/Linux, like Visual Studio, SharpDevelop or MonoDevelop.

I am very interested in people who want to help with the developement. If there are enough people I will make MonoMate Open Source.
