I am a 21 year old coder, from Germany.
Currently I am working as a professional web application engineer for a small local company.

Background
I started coding at the age of 9 with the computer of my father, which was an old-school Atari with Basic as the OS.
For many years I have coded for Windows, with various languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Delphi, Visual Basic and
others. This list can also be expanded with programming languages like PHP, Javascript, Assembler (x86, PIC microcontroller,
Z80) and many more (I mean really a lot more - learning new programming languages has been a hobby for long time^^).
Stepping into OSX
In December 2007 I bought a MacBook. Its like a whole new world to me. A better world.
I started with learning Objective-C and implemented some projects with xcode. Being very impressed
by OSX and my iPod, I expected that xcode would be a similar next generation application.
Actually coding with xcode and Objective-C is like coding in the 90's, so I found the Mono-Project very
helpful to implement my applications in C# like in the "good old/new days" of Windows (My first implementation:
SimpleTODO 2.0). Never agreed to a blog post more than to this great one.
This website
I set this website up a short time after getting my hands on a MacBook, and it has been much more successful than
I would have ever expected. On days when TUAW (important blog) mentioned my website, I got more than 7000 visitors,
only on that day. Still I got more than a houndred visitors every day, which is a great motivation for me to
spend my freetime on the projects. Also all the mails I get everyday from people providing feedback or asking to become
beta testers, makes working on those projects a very pleasant job.
