keyboardr.com on iPhone

This is how keyboardr.com feels like on the iPhone (in this case my iPod Touch 2G).

keyboardr.com does not have an iPhone specific version, yet. Usually websites try to create iPhone specific website which avoid, having the user to zoom. In keyboardr the zooming is actually great. I think the whole site in general works great with the iPhone. Of course, there is a lot to improve for the iPhone like improving readability and decreasing bandwidth usage (no need to search on all keypresses, as the results are hidden while typing anyway).

Would still love to see a more iPhone tailored app, incl. the home screen icon.
Great work on the keyboardr.com btw, it’s my new home page :)

This is awesome, thanks Julius. One suggestion, for what it’s worth: how about more stylish favicon? Like a “k” in a nice typeface to make the link with your use of google (monotype corsiva might be nice). And it wouldn’t be too much of a departure from your current one either.

yes and no.

you have created one gem of a site with keyboardr. it gets so much out of very few principles. a very fruitful restriction, thanks to the consistency of input and response.

now with iphone, the site just _doesnt_work_.

until you find out what you have to do wrong in order to use it.

this is so freaking gorgeous, please don’t give up on it. it’s probably very simple to translate into the iphone ui philosophy what keyboardr is doing.

btw, i’ve been hating the concept of users having something like a ‘homepage’ since ‘95. but i will give keyboardr a try. thank you.
