chosr.com release
Hi,
yesterday we did the final work on chosr.com, in the evening we released it.
There is a button to login as a demo-user, so you can try it without registering.
We worked hard for weeks on this project and hope a lot of people will like it … but even if everyone hates it, it was worth it for our personal use :)
I am now working on the future of chosr. We do alot of research on integration of webservices (want to see a peek of the possibilities ? try the youtube search), and usability, as people without Quicksilver-Concept-Expirience have big problems getting into it.
Guess this will be the last post for a while on chosr. I created a blog for the chosr-Team: blog.chosr.com
Has no contents at the moment, but we will soon begin to talk about Tricks you can do with chosr, the technoligies behind chosr, reactions of users and the research we are doing to get more features than just bookmarking and searching.
Have a nice day,
Julius

hi there,
heavy qs user here. i love chosr. i’ve been using a local html page as my homepage for YEARS: with saft type-ahead support, i type a few letters to highlight and launch my favorite links. i think chosr may be a new solution for me. granted, qs can already do everything that chosr does with the safari & web search plugins, but it’s a pain to keep qs in sync across multiple computers (and you’re certainly screwed on a windows machine). chosr solves that. can’t wait to see where it goes from here!

NanoTech:
Way cool. I use Quicksilver a lot so something like this for the web is really neat. The bookmarks and custom web search are slick, but there are some things that could be improved on.
For one, having to rename bookmarks can be annoying. The third panel should be used for giving bookmarks custom names during their creation.
Bookmarks should also be usable as “search queries”, in a “Quicksilver-object” manner. For example, use in tinyurl-like services, or perhaps posting to a linkblog.
I haven’t used it enough to give it a full-blown review, but I like what I’ve seen so far. Great job guys!

This is pretty cool
Mozilla is doing a similar thing with a plug in called ubiquity the advantage that it has over this is you dont need to open a new tab or window to use it
anywho, well done so far
